How to replace only the mirror of the ScopeControl.

Before you start:

• Find the link to the mirror holder replacement procedure here.
• Use good cleaning detergent to remove glue or sticker residu
• Use a dust free cloth
• Use a very thin version of double sided sticky tape (1mm)
• Use gloves to protect the mirror from greasy finger prints

To remove a mirror you better use a thin and sharp knife to cut through the glue layer.

Clean the glue from the holder.

Clean the back surface of the mirror.

Stick 2 layers side-by-side of double sided sticky tape to the holder.

Line the mirror up with the edges of the mirror holder.

Push the mirror firmly to the sticky tape.

Clean de mirror from any prints or grease.

Place the holder with the mirror back in it's place:

Check the mirror and remove any dust particles left.

• • Use the brush and torch from your maintenance kit to check

Run a test with a scope:

• • If it performs ok then your replacement was very succesful

You're done.
